Talk:List of features removed in Windows 11

Should we mention NTVDM & the 16-bit Windows on Windows subsystem being removed in the System Components section?

edit

Since Windows 11 is dropping support for 32-bit IA-32 CPUs & will only work with 64-bit ARM64 & x86-x64 CPUs, should we also mention NTVDM & the 16-bit Windows on Windows subsystem being removed & discontinued in the System Components as well, even if this hasn't been confirmed by Microsoft? @DeveloperPudú: Thanks. The part about NTVDM got added some time after you made your comment, but I've just edited it to also explicitly mention the 16-bit Windows on Windows subsystem. --Dan Harkless (talk) 07:45, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Has the previously built-in Adobe Flash Player been removed in Windows 11?

edit

Givin that Adobe Flash was discontinued in December 2020 and blocked in January 2021 by web browsers, it's all but assumed that the built-in Adobe Flash Player introduced in Windows 8 has been removed in Windows 11. This might also applies to the Mainland China variant of Adobe Flash Player as well.--DeveloperPudú (talk) 19:21, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I've added this to the Architecture section (if someone wants to make a new section that's a slightly better fit, feel free). --Dan Harkless (talk) 07:56, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Desktop peek restored?

edit

Under removed features last bullet point is desktop peek, with the note that it has returned in the November 2022 update, but the source it sites is an article saying the feature was removed. Can someone update the source or the bullet, not sure which is right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.17.5.222 (talk) 01:50, 29 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Should we mention that they removed the numbers of items in a sorted folder

edit

When I sort my itmes in a folder either by name or type in windows 10 there is a number of how many items are in that sort but in windows 11 it is no longer there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.161.201.159 (talk) 17:02, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
