Talk:Jefferson High School (Iowa)

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I removed the following text which seems at best more about a non-notable person than about the school, and at worst of suspect accuracy. Essentially this is a revert to the 3 Sept 2006 version which had more informatino about the school.

The 2008 Decathlon team placed 3rd in Div. 2 and 14th overall. Jefferson used to be Div. 1 and routinely placed in the top ten overall, often with significantly higher scores. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.19.197.30 (talk) 02:06, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The marching band, the Band of Blue, is solely under the direction of
Martin Clancey. The Band of Blue's 2006 hit-show, "Songs from the K Drive,'
has won two awards including the Clancey Cupcake. They were given three stars
from the Knocknasheega company, including the smashing dance, "Can't Keep my
Clancey." After the war Mr. Clancey came to Jefferson High School for his love
of band directing. He wrote the 1960's hit, "Clancey boy".
