Max Planck Society and tenure track position

The article claimed (without sources) that "Its structure and management is inspired by Max Planck Institut in Germany: for scientists there are no tenure track positions, and all the researchers are evaluated every five years. The contract renewal is granted only if the researcher reaches his or her scientific goals.". This is false on so many levels.

  1. The MPG does offer tenure track position, as a quick google search can confirm.
  2. The IIT also offers tenure track and tenured positions, as one can see from their annual report
