Speedy deletion??

edit

I needed to find out what this term meant, and had to look it up. Why shouldn't I be able to find it on Wikipedia? It's a legitimate term. See for example: Escaping Auschwitz: A Culture of Forgetting, ISBN 0801441307 page 20 where it is explained, or in books like Brandenburg Gate ISBN:0871139405 by Henry Porter where it is more or less assumed we know what it means page 411 Stumps 11:00, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Oxford Dictionary includes this term and provides quotes from Len Deighton (1964), Ross Thomas (1967), and John Gardner (thriller writer) (1967). Stumps 11:33, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am not certain that this article here is more than a dictionary definition, which we don't have here. It could of course become an article about the East German border guards themselves, a topic currently only mentioned inadequately in GDR border system, or become a disambiguation page for the East German and Bavarian Grenzpolizisten. In any case, some work still needs to be done. Kusma (討論) 12:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
True, this should be just a disamb-page at most. To be precise, "GrePo" or "Grepo" is not an official abbreviation, so a redirect towards Grenzpolizei would be the right way to handle it. --Mattes (talk) 08:55, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
