Talk:Equivalent average

What does SH and SF stand for? This should be included in this entry. I guess Sb (stolen bases) should also be explained.

I'd have to believe that SH = Sacrifice Hit and SF = Sacrifice Fly. The part that I don't understand is how the REqA stat is taken and adjusted into EqA to account for league difficulty? Which variables perform the adjustment?

worded confusingly

edit

I was very confused by the wording of the sentences: "For instance, the Pacific Coast League is a minor league known to be a very friendly venue for hitters. Therefore, a hitter in the PCL may have notably depressed raw statistics (a lower batting average, fewer home runs, etc.) if he were hitting in another league at the same level." It's relevant information but it is worded in a bad way. It could use a citation too --The big donk (talk) 00:44, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
