Why is Dan a mule? I always imagined a cowboy and his horse. --Ampwright (talk) 04:12, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

I just removed Foy Willing as a writer

edit

I could find no confirmation that Willing was a co-author, just that his band Riders of the Purple Sage (band), recorded it. Both versions that I have, Sons of the Pioneers and Marty Robbins, just have Nolan as the only author. Carptrash (talk) 18:01, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I just found CDs by Frankie Laine and Vaughn Monroe and both just list Nolan as the author. Carptrash (talk) 18:11, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
