Chiang → Chiang (disambiguation) – Per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. Same as Mao redirecting to Mao Zedong, Chiang Kai-Shek is probably the most notable individual for this uncommon surname and word, and thus should redirect to Chiang Kai-Shek accordingly. Zinderboff(talk) 12:41, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. Chiang Ching-kuo was president of Taiwan for 10 years, and there are other notable Taiwanese politicians with this transliteration, like Johnny Chiang. Chiang Kai-shek is certainly the most famous person with this name, but I don't think the disparity is as big as it is for Mao Zedong. Moreover, Mao Zedong is often referred to as just "Mao" in English-language sources; I think Chiang Kai-shek is usually referred to by his full name, at least on first mention. —Mx.
