RAF Crosby-on-Eden

"In the early 1930s, Cumbria County Council opened Kingstown Municipal Airport, at the time outside the borough boundaries which later became the RAF Kingstown and is now Kingstown or Kingmoor Industrial estate."

I very much doubt it! Cumbria County Council only came into existence in 1974. In the 1930s, it would be either Carlisle City Council or Cumberland County Council. Skinsmoke (talk) 10:48, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Traffic Statistics validity?

Hello, I was trying to find a source for the traffic data and decided to email the airport they told me: "Thank you for contacting Carlisle Airport.

Unfortunately, the Airport has been closed to visiting traffic since March 2020 and has not yet re-opened so no figures have been published during this time. The local flying clubs have flown during this time as they have permits to fly.

I am sorry but I am unable to confirm where those figures have been take from as the department is now closed that was originally collating the figures."

So unless the source can be found I think it is inappropriate for the figures to be used. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muddyviolet (talkcontribs) 16:17, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
