Hey I am surprised there was not a disambiguation page here before (was there one, but it was deleted?). Thank you very much, User:This Works Too, for creating this disambiguation page, which is definitely needed. I notice its creation because I was given notification of its linking to Daisy Bates House, an article which i guess i created.

In the search bar, typing in "Bates House" suggests some other alternatives not yet in this page:

It happens that I've created a lot of disambiguation pages about houses in the past and have often found it useful to identify more items using a tool to look up National Register of Historic Places listings. I dunno, do you know about it already? Anyhow NRHP-listed houses are almost always notable and will get articles written for them, if there isn't one already. That tool suggests considering, at least:

The tool suggested more, but I edited down the above list already. Some won't be right to keep. About the hyphenated ones, I think those should be included because a hyphenated A-B House -type name usually means that both A House and B House have been commonly used, too. And places like "Bates Building" and "Bates Farm" should be included directly or mentioned in a "See also" type way.

User:This Works Too, I wonder, how did you find the many that you did? And what do you think about these, and thanks again! --Doncram (talk) 03:58, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I just searched "Bates House" on Wikipedia and added the first few that came up; the issue is that I was writing about a house typically called "Bate's House" (with an apostrophe) but when moving it around on my text document and sandbox I just started calling it Fenton-Bate House because that was less confusing and it IS a legitimate alternate name for the house. Add all of them if you are able :) This Works Too (talk) 04:33, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
