The main contributor to the article has disclosed that they are an employee of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits tasked with "increasing our web presence." Their contributions should be assumed not to be neutral, per WP:Paid editing. QuiteUnusual (talk) 13:44, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tone issue

edit

The History section feels like it came from the company's website. It could do with an overhaul for tone to make sure that neutral point of view is maintained. —C.Fred (talk) 16:40, 20 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

The history section did come from the company's website, marked copyright 2015 ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. I removed all of the copyvio material. Generic1139 (talk) 19:46, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Robbery

edit

A sentence about a robbery has been added. While verifiable, a robbery is, unfortunately, not an uncommon occurrence in a chain of stores. Is mention of the robbery, apparently not blamed on the company or a result of its policies, store design, etc., and not unusually prevalent to this chain (at least none of these are discussed in the cited source), in a short article, placing undue emphasis on the event? Should the mention be removed? Generic1139 (talk) 17:32, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

In my opinion, no remove it. Shops get robbed all the time, no evidence that this robbery was especially different/important/notable. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:35, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, my convoluted syntax in the original question may have confused this. Are you saying that the mention of the robbery should be kept, or should be removed? Generic1139 (talk) 17:39, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Clarified above, remove it. Joseph2302 (talk)
Just to say, as the editor who added it, I have no opinion either way (except perhaps with a minor confession that it is pretty weak), and is one of the few occasions it is mentioned by WP:RS. Removal will rightly edge it closer to an A7, I expect. No problems. Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 17:44, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I don't see this article getting to A7, but I also wouldn't hold my breath for it surviving AfD. —C.Fred (talk) 01:06, 29 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Agree, a liquor story robbery is hardly encyclopedic. WP:NOTNEWS and stuff. — Brianhe (talk) 17:47, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Per all of the above, removed. Generic1139 (talk) 17:51, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
