Classification

edit

The article currently has some false information about the rules of classification: a play-off will be the last option, and there is never a draw, see the official rules: http://downloadcentrum.knvb.nl/sportlink/knvb/document/reglementenbundel%20bv.pdf?id=401 I don't have the energy and time now to think how to summarize the official rules into this wikipedia article. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 20:06, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

@EdgeNavidad: I could take a look, but I dont speak Dutch (only a little bit German) so could you please tell me what page to look at? Qed237 (talk) 20:50, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think I gound it, but what is the first tiebreaker (after points), "verliespunten". Qed237 (talk) 20:58, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
"Points lost" (as in: win = 0 'verliespunten', draw = 2 'verliespunten', loss = 3 'verliespunten'), so doesn't come into play when all teams have played the same amount of matches. After that it goes: goal difference, goals scored, head to head, and after that there's a play off. The play-off is only to decide the champion, relegation or European places, otherwise there's a random draw. Kinetic37 (talk) 21:23, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Kinetic37: Got it. I read something about that point 4 should be used in that "article" and it is the same , but without "verliespunten". But I could not see anything about draw? Qed237 (talk) 21:29, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Qed237: Point 1 says that if everything down to head-to-head results is equal, "fate decides". Point 4 adds to this that if the teams equal on points are fighting for the championship, relegation or European places, there will be a play-off to decide this rather than a draw. @Kinetic37 and EdgeNavidad: I have now corrected the classification rules and changed to the regulation pdf above. Hopefully if it is correct, otherwise let me know. Qed237 (talk) 22:03, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Perfect, I think! --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 16:46, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
