The MS400 (Ukrainian: MC-400) is a turbofan engine developed by the Ukrainian aircraft engine manufacturer Motor Sich.[1][2] The engine is used for subsonic unmanned air vehicles.
Specification
editThe engine's specifications are as follows:[3]
- Maximum power SLS, ISA: Thrust, kgf (kN) 406 (3,96)
- SFC, max: ≤ 0.78 (79.51) kg/kgf•h (kg/kN•h)
- Engine diameter with respect to cowling: 315 mm
- Length: 846 mm
- Dry weight: 85 kg
Use
editBased on the MS400, the Luch Design Bureau in Kyiv designed a Ukrainian subsonic cruise missile with all-weather capabilities, the R-360 Neptune, with a range of up to 300 kilometres.[4]
The MS400 is also studied for the development of Vietnam's VCM-01 cruise missile family.[5]
