Although she was not trained as an actress, her long acting career earned her a legendary status among Slovak theatre fans.[4] In 2001, she was introduced to the Hall of Fame at the OTO Awards.[6]

In addition to stage acting, Kolníková dabbed in radio and television acting. Notably she starred in the 1995 movie Vášnivý bozk.[7]
