Sterling Kerr (born May 2, 2000) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for League1 Alberta club Calgary Foothills FC.

University career

In 2018, he began attending Mount Royal University, where he played for the men's soccer team.[1] In 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, he was named a U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian.[2][3][4][5][6] He won the Canada West Conference bronze medal with the team in both 2021 and 2022.[7][8] In 2022, Kerr served as team captain and was named a Canada West First Team All-Star and a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian.[9][10] He also won the 2022 Canada West Student-Athlete Community Service Award and was awarded the Calgary Juventus Sports Club Award scholarship.[11][12]

Club career

In March 2023, he signed a U Sports developmental contract with Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League, allowing him to maintain his university eligibility.[13][14] Upon the expiry of his U Sports contract on August 15, he chose to remain with the club and extended his contract through the remainder of the season.[15]
