Alice Amin Siman Israel is a Mexican data scientist, AI developer, entrepreneur, and advocate for women's rights and the LGBT community. She is the CEO and founder of Thuum io, an Applied AI Lab, and the author of "Manual de Supervivencia 4.0: Las PYMES en los Tiempos de Inteligencia Artificial."

Early life and education

Alice Amin Siman was born in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico. She is the granddaughter of Amin Siman Habib, founder of Corporación Radio Núcleo, a prominent radio network in Mexico. Growing up in a family with a strong background in media and communications, Alice developed an early interest in technology and science. She pursued her education in these fields informally while studying in law school from which she later despite good grades, dopped out to join the family's company and became fluent in French, Spanish, and English.

Career

Alice began her career at Corporación Radio Núcleo as a National Sales Executive and later served as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing operations across 18 radio stations, in this period she founded a SMM agency, and other SMEs Alice played a key role in expanding the company's radio portfolio. She was instrumental in creating three successful radio brands and played a pivotal role in launching the first statewide talk show in Chiapas and leading the efforts of the company's digital transformation efforts. Her career in broadcasting ended when she was terminated after publicly coming out as a transgender woman because of gender discrimination. This pivotal moment prompted Alice to transition into data science and artificial intelligence.

Subsequently, Alice founded several companies, including Thuum io, where she has led innovative projects integrating AI into various sectors, including broadcasting and marketing. She is also the CEO of Datability, a Data Science Lab, and BotXperts, an AI Automation Agency.

Alice Amin Siman has published several studies, among them a study about homicides against the LGBTQ Community and also authored "Manual de Supervivencia 4.0: Las PYMES en los Tiempos de Inteligencia Artificial," a guide for SMEs in Latin America on adopting AI and digital technologies.[1]

Advocacy and community work

Alice is an advocate for gender equality and LGBT rights. She actively promotes inclusive workplaces and has been involved in initiatives supporting these causes.

Earlier in her career, she collaborated on Proyecto Posh, where she contributed as a stage coordinator for an electronic music festival.

Personal life

Alice resides in the Metropolitan Area of Mexico City and is married to a cisgender woman whom which she has a daughter.
