Career
editMatthews, a wide receiver from Delta State University and a junior college transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College, was undrafted, but played 11 NFL seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.[1] He began his professional football career with the Jacksonville Bulls of the USFL.[2] He was inducted into the Delta State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004[3] and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Hall of Fame in 2023.[4]
