Reason: Disruptive and unsourced edits by new users and IPs again and again. M S Hassan (talk) 04:42, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@M S Hassan: It is not easy for an admin here with no knowledge of the topic to see why the edits are disruptive. Please post a brief explanation on article talk and try to get the new editors to engage there. Post again if the problem can be made clear. Johnuniq (talk) 07:24, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – IPs keep removing sourced content [1] [2] [3] which is explicitly mentioned by the subject herself in interview corroborated in two sources present int he public domain [4] [5]. Might be a case of WP:COI. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:18, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Lectonar (talk) 11:33, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lectonar: Disruption continues. See - [6]. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:01, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The IP range has not touched the article since they were (finally) warned. Favonian (talk) 15:33, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent unreferenced edits / posting of wrong information from IP users. Hotwiki (talk) 12:37, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Flagg is a very high-level basketball prospect and this article is frequently the target of vandals of all sorts. User:Namiba 14:46, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Favonian (talk) 15:21, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent disruptive editing, he also has many haters. The article needs cleanups with those editings; many hate words in dhivehi languageexample. "Tinu" meaning he is a Tin. MAL MALDIVE (talk) 14:54, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – Repeated block evasion by MagellanAquarium via IP, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MagellanAquarium/Archive. Latest ip (66.97.145.64 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) has resumed edit warring after a two week block for socking. MrOllie (talk) 15:43, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  User(s) blocked: 66.97.145.64 (talk · contribs) blocked by PhilKnight. A whole year, this time. 66.97.145.65 will likely suffer the same fate if it pops its head above the parapet again. Favonian (talk) 16:52, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry. Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:55, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – IP socks of Swagotalaxmi Deb after their last sock was blocked. They hop IP's somewhat often, so not sure if whack-a-mole blocking would really work vs protecting their most common targets. Not that anyone would object if the IP is blocked for a bit though... Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Myrealnamm (💬pros · ✏️cons) 18:14, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
