Nomination of {articlename} at AfD

edit

Hi there {username},

A discussion at Articles for Deletion (AfD) has been initiated as to whether {articlename} (an article that you created) should be deleted, as it appears to fail Wikipedia's general notability policy, and Wikipedia's policy on notability of academics, professors and scholarsastronomical objectsbooksevents and newsfilmsmusicnumbers and mathematical statementsorganisations and companiespeople in general.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/{articlename} until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to add to the debate. If you decide to write in the AfD discussion please remember to disclose that you are the article's creator.
If you know or suspect any independent secondary sources to exist please mention them at the AfD discussion and/or feel free to add them to the article. Please do not remove the AfD notice from the article.
Should you decide to contribute to the discussion, please remember to follow the guidlines set out at WP:AFDEQ, quoted partly here:

 • Users participating in AfD discussions are expected to be familiar with the policy of civility and the guidelines Wikietiquette and "do not bite the newbies". This also applies to the other deletion pages.
 • AfDs are public, and are sometimes quoted in the popular press. Please keep to public-facing levels of civility, just as you should for any edit you make to Wikipedia.
 • Avoid personal attacks against people who disagree with you; avoid the use of sarcastic language and stay cool.
 • Do not make unsourced negative comments about living people. These may be removed by any editor.
 • Remember that while AfD may look like a voting process, it does not operate like one. Justification and evidence for a response carries far more weight than the response itself. Thus, you should not attempt to structure the AfD process like a vote[...]
 • While there is no prohibition against moving an article while an AfD discussion is in progress, editors considering doing so should realize such a move can confuse the discussion greatly, can preempt a closing decision, and can make the discussion difficult to track.

Please remember this deletion listing is not an attack on you but simply part of the operation of Wikipedia. Jackc143 (talk) 20:47, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
