English: Gryposaurus monumentensis is a saurolophine hadrosaur from the Late Cretaceous of what is now North America. Typical of hadrosaurs, it was facultatively bipedal, and had batteries of densely packed teeth in the back of its mouth to process its herbivorous diet. Gryposaurus was a large hadrosaur, growing to around 8 m in length, and had a prominent arch rising from its nose. This nasal arch may have been used for species recognition, sexual identification, or possibly even intraspecies combat.
