Description
English: Close up of pilasters on the Delmarva Power & Light Building in Wilmington, Delaware. The architectural firm of Brown & Whiteside designed the building in the Art Deco style including here to give the appearance of true pillars. The 1932 building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property to the Downtown Wilmington Commercial Historic District. The building has been used by Delmarva Power, Chase Manhattan Bank, and the Delaware College of Art & Design (DCAD).
